Chrishall Village Archive

Chrishall Village Archive is a collection of documents, photographs and some artefacts relating to the village of Chrishall in the top north west corner of Essex.

The collection has been built up through many years. Most of the current collection was gathered by the village historian, Mrs Irene Cranwell, from the 1950s until 2010 when she passed away.

The Archive now has a physical home in the centre of the village as well as a digital home with the website where people can contribute their memories and stories of the village. More photographs and documents are coming in all the time to add to the collection. The Archive itself is open on a monthly basis from Easter to October.
