Sampad Arts
The story of Sampad begins in 1988 when Piali Ray OBE recognised the need for a dedicated platform to showcase the richness and diversity of South Asian arts in the UK.
Sampad’s mission is to connect people with South Asian and British Asian Arts and Heritage, and to play a cutting-edge role in the creative economy.
We support, commission and co-produce a huge variety of arts and heritage activities inspired by diverse artforms that originate from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
My Route Oral Histories Project
The ‘My Route’ project captured the voices of recent immigrants’ and memories of growing and cooking, recorded by garden staff and volunteers.
My Route leaves a legacy of several permanent resources for future generations, including a new public archive of local memories.
