Claymills Victorian Pumping Station

Claymills Victorian Pumping Station was built in 1885 in Burton upon Trent.

We have a comprehensive archive of written materials and engineering drawings, including the design and planning from 1883 (with original tenders, contracts and architect’s drawings and operational records through to closure in 1969.

Much of our archive is digitised, and available on line. Potential visitors should contact John Freeman – the archive can be opened on most Fridays.
