Houghton Regis Heritage Society Archive

An Archive of 1,500 photographs, documents and oral recordings of Houghton Regis dating from the late 19th Century to the present. The Archive is based on 1,300 photographs collected by Pat Lovering and donated to the Society.

The oral recordings are of people’s memories of living in Houghton Regis and of Houghton Hall, the former home of the Brandreth Family who lived in Houghton Regis from the 17th century until 1908. The Society has published a book – The Family on the Green – which describes the Brandreth’s lives in the Town and is available on the Archive.
