Galway Community Archaeology Project

Galway Community Archaeology Project Website allows you to browse through our collection of local historical and archaeological sites and material, including photos, documents, advice and knowledge shared by the public and state bodies.

Publications include advisory films, leaflets and site specific information. We aim to promote heritage best practice through highlighting and promoting archaeological sites and monuments in the County of Galway. Community projects involving our archaeological heritage are promoted and shared to highlight how the public can participate in preserving and promoting their archaeological heritage. Galway Community Archaeology Project is funded by Galway County Council and The Heritage Council.
