Changes in technology are a big factor for me – the development of Facebook and Twitter is changing how our communication is expressed and relayed to others. 

Archived spaces should be accessible through fb and twitter to allow for more fluid communication. Video media needs to become more embedded into the software and how we capture data. The above brings an additional ethical consideration of the impact of video media on archives, anonymity and confidentiality will become more difficult to achieve. 

More information is coming out in the public sphere. What we would consider sensitive yesterday, is not equally sensitive today.

There is a need to look at community archives as being self-sustaining instead of relying on Government grants. The use of advertisements and archiving for business purposes may change the neutrality and objectivity of the archives.
