Would you like a professionally edited film about your group? Would you like to learn to make a film yourself?
We have an opportunity for three community archive groups to make a short film over the next few months, with professional guidance and support which will be delivered on-line.
The aim of these videos is to ‘bring community archives to life’, by showing the people behind community archive projects, and what they get out of the process of working in community archives.
You’ll get:
- A short film (approx two to three minutes) professionally edited and produced, about your volunteer group
- A free webinar on how to create a video
- Professional support, guidance and feedback as you shoot some footage
- Interview online by a professional film-maker
- £250 to cover your time and expenses
In return, you’ll need to:
- Attend the training webinar
- Do some filming (one or two of you with professional guidance)
- Supply some photographs
- Have some people from your group willing to appear on camera and be interviewed
- Allow your footage and the final film to be published on the Community Archives website
- Be available at some point between December 2024 -March 2025 for training, filming and interviewing
To submit a proposal please complete this form.
The deadline is Monday 25th November. The three successful groups will be notified Friday 6th December.
