We need your help with images

CAHG is looking to pull together an image bank, that shows community archives at work, rest, and play.

Do you have images of your archive at work – maybe photos of exhibitions you have run or talks, coffee mornings, meetings? Maybe you’ve dressed up for a historical enactment, and you have some images you’d be happy for us to have? We’d also be interested in photos of the ‘jewels of your collection’  (e.g. a really lovely old heritage map, or postcard, or even letter), if it’s visually attractive and the story is compelling.

We’re looking for images that are, as a rough guide:

  • A minimum of 2000 pixels wide.
  • If you’re not sure how to measure pixels, choose .jpg images that are at least 500kb.

You will retain the copyright in your photo, so can continue to use your content as you like, including the ability to also allow others to use it. As per our terms of use, any photos you submit to us will be released under a Creative Commons license.
