Nominating a group for an award
You may nominate your own group, or nominate another group by completing the online form.
The closing date for entries is April 30th 2021
You may supply images to support your application (no more than three). These should be submitted in jpg format. By sending these you are giving permission (or confirming that you have obtained permission) for their use by CAHG and supporting organisations (including for media purposes).
You can submit other documents to support your application. These could be promotional leaflets, feedback from participants or anything that will strengthen your application. Photos and supporting documents supplied in hard copy will not be returned, so please do not send us any originals – only copies. Assessment is based on the evidence submitted to support the criteria for each category. The supporting information is an addition.
Please contact CAHG by email if you have material that you would like to send us in paper form and we will then send you an address to send it to.
What happens next?
A panel, including an external expert, will assess the nominations. Each category will be looked at independently. One group will then be chosen for the Community Archive and Heritage Group of the Year Award. The CAHG Committee reserves the right not to make an award in a particular category if, in the opinion of the Committee, there is no entry of a high enough standard.
All entrants will be informed of the decisions after they have been approved by the Committee of CAHG.
The winners will be announced at the CAHG 2021 Conference, when each winner will be presented with a certificate. CAHG will also arrange local and national press releases and support the winners in sharing the news. Each winner will also be featured on the CAHG website.
