The Bob Watson Archive

The Bob Watson Archive is the primary public archive for Alan Ayckbourn and the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the world. It contains material pertaining to all of the world premieres of Alan Ayckbourn's plays and all productions held at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, between 1955 and the present day.

The collection primarily consists of: prompt scripts, manuscripts, programmes, posters, production photographs, reviews, press cuttings (related to productions, Alan Ayckbourn and the theatre). Production and design material is kept, but has not yet been archived.

The Bob Watson Archive is the only publically accessible archive in the world to hold a complete collection of Alan Ayckbourn's scripts.
