Louise Ray, Archive Lottery Adviser, National Council on Archives

The Heritage Lottery Fund are now moving into their Third Strategic Plan and new information regarding their programmes is available from their re-vamped website.

Key areas of the website for anyone looking to apply for archive projects in the future are:

The 'How to Apply' section, which includes details about all the programmes including pdf versions of the application forms.  Now there is also the opportunity to apply using an online form which is also accessible from this part of the website.

In addition there is a series of guidance notes available from the section 'Helping your application'. These include:

Guidance on archive projects
Guidance on oral history projects

In addition HLF will be producing a 'First Steps' guide for people thinking about undertaking archive projects which will be available from the website in the near future, and more case studies will be added to the website to help potential applicants.
