Building a Community Heritage Using Digital techniques

The Bruton community, working through Bruton the Way Forward's Project committee of key people, is seeking a project leader to develop our ability to open our great heritage to the world We need someone who can help us develop the people’s ability to build a digital archive of memories and artefacts

We have the solid support of 5 schools and multiple community groups in all ages so our town of 4,000 with 1200 school age is not short of volunteers.      

Can you:-

·        Communicate effectively with volunteers at all levels

·        Work with older people and young adults

·        Advise on the methodology and types of digital equipment and systems needed and train others to use them

·        Identify sources of heritage materials and possible solutions to creating a Bruton Digital archive.

·        Recruit and lead volunteers from diverse groups and disciplines to achieve results

·        Work with us to gain funds to extend the project beyond 12 months

Do you have

·        Experience and know-how with Heritage materials and Digital equipment needed to develop an archive

Remuneration: up to £ £24,000 p.a Full time or part-time equivalent for
