How to add news and articles to this website

If you're involved with community archives, please think if there's anything that you could contribute to this website.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for information to include in the following sections of the website:

  • Resources: Share any information, advice or links that you think would be useful to community archives.
  • What's on: Let us know about any events that are taking place which are relevant to community archives, and share your news and press releases.
  • Features: Write a short piece about a particular item in your collection or a particular project you undertook

How can you contribute?

There are two ways you can contribute:

  1. You can e-mail us. We will then add your contribution to the website on your behalf.
  2. You can also submit your contribution directly to the site. Just register a username and password and you'll then be guided through the process of contributing.

Guidelines

  1. You don't need to write much; a paragraph is enough, and you can add photos and links and upload documents if appropriate.

  2. You don't need to create something completely new; if you have an existing article or handout, you're welcome to reproduce it on this website, so long as you own the copyright to it.

What a fantastic resource this site is for archives and records that would not normally get a look-in elsewhere.

Long may Community Archives exist and become as big and internationally and historically accepted as the National Archives themselves. Well done and good luck.
