The archive is part of the Commanet network of community archives. Its collection has been captured using specially designed Commanet software.

The archive is a project from within the Friends of Crayford Library, which is a volunteer group formed to assist Crayford Library. The group is bound by a written constitution, and has an elected management commitee and an independant bank account.

It was felt that we needed to record our town before too much else changed and we have collected to date 165 records, all of which are photographic dating from the early 1800 to present day. They are freely available on the Commanet web site.
