Setting up a community archive

Many people come together informally in the first instance to set up community archive groups.

The Community Archive and Heritage Group will be publishing some outline guidelines on how to set up a community archive in early 2012. The guidelines will provide a tick list of key issues to consider and will be available on this website.

In the meantime, if you are planning to apply for funding, or want to ensure the long-term future of the group, you may need to create a formal constitution outlining who you are, how you are governed, and how any finances the group holds will be managed.  A good source of information on issues like 'How to create a constitution?' and 'What is the role of trustees?' is the Governance Hub.

Further information will be added here shortly
