The Archive Lottery Advisory Service is pleased to announce a one day workshop to be held on Tuesday 9th December 2008 at The National Archives, Kew.
This workshop is aimed at people who might be seeking funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to run a community archive project. The workshop will be tailored for those involved in community and voluntary organisations, but it may be of interest to people working in heritage organisations, seeking to partner community groups in delivering a community archive project. The workshop will include presentations and group exercises.
Programme
10.00 – 10.30 – Registration and coffee
10.30 – 12.30 – Morning Session: Introduction to the Heritage Lottery Fund, its strategic aims and how these fit with community archives
12.30 – 13.30 – Sandwich lunch (provided) and free time to explore The National Archives’ museum
13.30 – 15.30 – Afternoon Session: Project Plans, budgets and timetables
15.30 – 15.45 – Tea
15.45 – 16.30 – Final Session: Next Steps – developing a funding bid and sources of advice
This workshop is free but places are limited and available on a strictly first come, first serve basis.
