The primary objective of the Charity is to preserve, protect and promote original material and artefacts from the Rootes Group and its successor companies.

The archive collection, housed in its own freehold building, includes over 300,000 original engineering drawings and blueprints for Rootes vehicles from the 1930’s through to the early 1980’s as well as vehicle specifications and design changes. The engineering archive is complimented by extensive sales and marketing literature, photographs, signage and artefacts such as the original boardroom table and chairs from the Rootes HQ.

The Archive is open to the public on the first Sunday of every month and most Fridays
