Teesdale Record Societies: Past Times in Teesdale

The Teesdale Record Society was founded in 1934 by a few people interested in the official literature of Teesdale. The objective which emerged from these early meetings was to collect records relating to life in Teesdale and to publish the documents containing references to the neighbourhood illustrating the social life of the people.

This remains the prime purpose of the Society as is evident from the publication of an annual journal. The Teesdale Record Society welcomes new members and contributions to its journal.

The society have hosted an event entitled Past Times in Teesdale and published the papers which were presented by the speakers at the event.
