Shetland Textile Museum
Shetland Textile Museum is a community museum in Shetland – the only one of its kind dedicated to the islands’ textile heritage, especially knitting, both historical and contemporary.
The Archive is a complementary part of the Collection. It has been established from the documents, papers, photographs and plans retained by the late Bess Jamieson among others. In addition, it includes a record of the exhibitions held annually over a thirty five year period. To accompany the exhibitions background material is kept in a set of Research Files which is included in the Archive.
