Rogate Society Archive

Rogate and the South Downs

The Rogate Society Archive consists of an estimated 50 cubic feet of documents. These date from the early 19th Century and is made up of a range of materials from various Estate records, material from village societies, various pieces of work done by members over the years and much more.

Currently the material is stored in a very haphazard way in a very small space in a loft above the church vestry. We are very lucky to be the recipients of a generous bequest which will allow us to transform a space in the village hall into a small local collection with space to organise and access the material. As soon as the building works are completed we will be able to move the material into its new home and start to organise it.
