Leamington History Group Archive

Our group is a voluntary community group which preserves Leamington Spa’s diverse local history for future generations by collecting images and artefacts donated by the public.

To date we have over 5000 historical photographs, maps and documents relating to the town and surrounding areas, preserved digitally. Our aim is to create extensive digital archive and make this available to a wide audience.

Our Group promotes the history of the town and has written a number of community books (100 Buildings, Global Leamington); and films (Birth of a Spa Town, Leamington’s Victorian Legacy, Life after Victoria and Many Cultures, One Town and Leamington Spa University Town). We also run the Free Town History Walks Programme and other events about the town’s past, and a weekly history cafe (Coffee, History and Chat).
