Killererin Heritage Society

Killererin Heritage Society was founded on September 15th, 2008 to preserve, protect and promote awareness for Killererin’s built, natural and cultural heritage.

There is actually no town or village in Killererin called Killererin. The village is called Barnaderg and as can be seen from the signpost, Barnaderg, is located 10km from Tuam, 16km from Kilkerrin a place we are often confused with, 11km from Corofin and 7km from Ballyglunin famous for its railway station where scenes from the famous John Forde film, The Quiet Man was filmed. It is bounded by Tuam to the North and West; Abbeyknockmoy to the South and Moylough to the east.
