Inverkip War Memorial Project
Inverkip, Inverclyde, Scotland, PA16 0BP, United Kingdom
A voluntary research project into the 29 servicemen listed on the Inverkip War Memorial in Scotland with the aim of uncovering the stories behind the names and sharing them as widely as possible to ensure they are never forgotten.
The project has also expanded to include servicemen with an Inverkip connection but who are remembered on other memorials and research into the memorial itself. The project has close links with Inverkip Church, with many servicemen who were Baptised or Worshipped there and the former Minister, Rev William Crawford BD MC who was a driving force behind the erection of the memorial and served as a Chaplain to the Seaforth Highlanders in WW1.
