Exmoor Society Archive

A collection of original papers, books, images, maps and reports relating to the history of Exmoor. These have been collected by the Exmoor Society since 1958 and include around 2000 digitised slides and papers belonging to individuals such as Malcolm MacEwen, Victor Bonham-Carter and Hope L. Bourne.

Although some material is scanned and we may be able to digitise on request, the majority of the material consists of boxes of documents held in Dulverton, Somerset. Most of the original archive material dates from the second half of the twentieth century but we also have a library of Exmoor books which dates back to the 18th century.
