Every Picture Tells a Story

Every Picture Tells Story:  From Carr Lane to Havelock Academy

Havelock Heritage Historians

In October 2009, after many months of planning and form filling Havelock Academy was awarded a substantial grant of £22,700 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to embark upon an exciting local heritage project to discover and preserve the history of the school, and its connection to the East Marsh area.  ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’ is run as a co curricular activity by the students who are currently attending the Academy and instils in them the importance of their heritage and a sense of belonging to a wider community which embraces the Academy and the East Marsh area of Grimsby and Cleethorpes.  It is supported by North East Lincolnshire Library Service,  and the North East Lincolnshire Archives.
