Berneray Historical Society - Chomunn Eachdraidh Bheàrnaraigh

Comunn Eachdraidh Bheàrnaraigh (Berneray Historical Society) aims to promote an interest in the history and culture of the people of the island of Berneray in the Sound of Harris, including the Gaelic language.

The society manages the visitor information centre and historical displays situated in the Nurse’s Cottage, Backhill, Berneray. Activities include publications, conferences and seminars, Gaelic classes, and ceilidhs, focusing on the traditional songs of the island.
