A village heritage centre and museum. We work to record, research, and tell the history of Aldbourne, Wiltshire.

Aldbourne is best known as being the place where the Band of Brothers was stationed in 1943-44, but there is so much more to tell from the Mesolithic onwards. Aldbourne was a wealthy manor in the Domesday Book. Much of its history is agrarian, but there have been small industries:- fustian weaving, bell casting, willow and straw weaving.

We have a collection of over 4000 items, plus a photograph collection of well over 10,000 items, many of which have been scanned. We maintain a large archive of images of records relating to Aldbourne from various records offices, three are used in our research activities
