Sustained Achievement Award
This is a special award celebrating sustainability and excellence in the community archive and heritage sectors. Nominations can be made at any time.
The award aims to inspire others and showcase good community archiving.
Who is it for?
This award is for groups that have been working hard and consistently achieving over at least a 10 year period. Such groups are likely to have something special in the way they ensure the continuity of their archive. This could be in terms of their ideas, methods, collections or the involvement of the whole community; it is for the group to explain why they are special and how it has been sustained.
How will the awards be judged?
Entries will be judged on an individual basis and the award will not be a competition. No awards or several may be given in any one year.
Groups must have been involved in continuous, relevant and purposeful activity for 10+ years and be able to give clear evidence of what has been achieved.
The Award will be an affirmative logo for attaching for display and will be announced at the national CAHG conference.
How can you nominate a group?
Anyone can make a nomination whether you are a member of the group or not but must have the group’s permission to enter their name. The group will be asked to supply more detailed information directly to CAHG.
Groups entered must be affiliated to CAHG, membership is free.
