Norfolk Family History Society

Based in a former chapel, we are a must-visit repository of information relating to family history in Norfolk and further afield.
Our Resource Centre has a huge range of data, ranging from parish registers, memorial inscriptions, wills, manorial documents, maps, family trees and pedigrees donated by our members, all going back hundreds of years, plus a wide range of books relating to Norwich and Norfolk and family history research more generally. We also allow visitors free access to the major commercial genealogical websites – Ancestry and FindMyPast.
Whether you are a seasoned researcher or just starting out, do come and see us – you are sure to find out something new!
Our usual opening hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10AM to 4PM, and Saturdays 10AM to 1PM.
There is no charge for using our resources, and if you do decide to become a member to gain a whole host of other benefits you can do so at nominal cost. See our website at www.norfolkfhs.org.uk
