Belper Historical Society

Belper Historical Society has worked since 1957 to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Belper’s history and heritage.

The society’s main aims are to:

• Cultivate an interest in the history of Belper and its neighbourhood;
• Collect and preserve artefacts, books, photographs and documents;
• Encourage practical historical research into Belper’s past
