Norfolk
Photo: Illustrative image for the 'NORCAN - Norfolk Community Archives Network' page

The purposes of NORCAN are to oversee and manage common aspects of the former Norfolk Archiving Rural Community History (ARCH) project and the website on behalf of the local groups without encroaching on the autonomy of those groups.

The committe will form links between, and to provide a collective voice, technical and other support, unity and a cohesive image/identity for, all the local groups, to promote the community archive for Norfolk and to resolve network problems common to local groups.

The purpose of the website is to create and maintain a web based digital archive consisting largely of photographs, documents, oral and video reminiscences and related text, to illustrate and record life and the local heritage, past and present, of local communities in Norfolk
