A group of retired Partners has got together to compile an archive of the Robert Sayle Department Store which was in St Andrew's Street Cambridge from the middle of the 18th Century (when it was called Victoria House) until it transferred to Burleigh Street while the new store was built.  This opened as John Lewis, Cambridge in November 2007.

The archive includes a vast number of photographs, some from the old Robert Sayle bringing the detail up to the opening of the Grand Arcade where John Lewis Cambridge is the anchor store.

In addition, we are adding text and oral interviews together with still more photographs.
