Advice on Lottery Funding
Contact details for free service
The Archive Lottery Advisory Service is run by the National Council on Archives (with financial support from the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and The National Archives).
This free service is available to any organisations across the UK hoping to develop projects involving archives. The service is independent from any lottery distributors, and is designed to complement any advice from the lottery distributors themselves.
Enquiries from community groups are welcome.
The Archive Lottery Adviser, Louise Ray, is available to help answer queries ranging from basic information about what lottery funding is available, to how best to plan your project and present it in the application in order to maximise your chances of being successful. Where possible, Louise will also seek to direct groups to other sources of advice on specific types of activities that they might seek to include in their project, or potential partners.
The Archive Lottery Adviser is happy to receive queries by:
- Telephone: 020 8392 5347
- Email: louise.ray@nationalarchives.gov.uk
- Letter: Louise Ray, Archive Lottery Adviser, National Council on Archives, c/o The National Archives, Ruskin Avenue, Kew Richmond, Surrey, TW9 4DU
- In person: please contact Louise Ray, to organise a meeting
The Archive Lottery Advisory Service also runs workshops for potential applicants. Workshops specifically aimed at community groups will be scheduled for Autumn 2008.
Louise Ray will be available to offer advice at the Community Archives Conference on 18th June.
The Archive Lottery Advisor is also happy to review draft applications prior to submission and provide comments to applicants.
