Scarborough Maritime Heritage Centre

Scarborough
Photo: Illustrative image for the 'Scarborough Maritime Heritage Centre' page

Scarborough was founded because of its sheltered position along the dangerous North East Coast of Britain.  It has a long connection with the sea, fishing and boat building.  The Maritime Heritage group is currently trying to establish a centre to preserve artefacts and documents relating to this long history.  For now, enjoy the beginnings on this website.
