New guidance notes and online form
Louise Ray, Archive Lottery Adviser, National Council on Archives

The Heritage Lottery Fund are now in their Third Strategic Plan and new information regarding their programmes is available from their re-vamped website.

Key areas of the website for anyone looking to apply for archive projects in the future are:

The 'How to Apply' section, which includes details about all the programmes including pdf versions of the application forms.  Now there is also the opportunity to apply using an online form which is also accessible from this part of the website.

The website also has a section of 'Further resources'.  These include:

  • an updated version of the guidance note 'Archives, People and Communities'
  • a range of 'First Steps' guides for new applicants

and more case studies of archive and oral history projects are included on the site.
