Documentation Manager/Archivist

BCA is recruiting an experienced Documentation Manager, initially for an 18 month period, to a design and lead its major documentation project to retrospectively document the BCA's collection. The collection, includes a library, a mixed archive of manuscripts and printed materials, prints and photographs as well as paintings and some artefacts.   The post-holder will be required to administrate the collections management database and implement approved levels of collections care and basic environmental controls in the store. They will also be expected to supervise the digital reproduction and storage of parts of the collection and make it accessible to the public online. The post-holder will be required to complete the documentation plan and policy for the BCA, in addition to the appointment, training and management two Documentation Officers and volunteers.

The salary for this post is £23,000 p.a.
