Bridging The Gap is an oral history and multimedia project based upon the Aberfeldy Estate in East London. Oral histories were conducted with elder residents to find out about their lives and to document the heritage of the area. At the project's website you can browse a selection of photographs from personal albums, listen to some of the interviews and read the transcripts.
Part of the project involved the theme of music and the local community, particularly young people, have uncovered the musical past of E14. From famous residents, to people's memories of the clubs and cabarets; from the dancehalls of the war years to the upcoming musical talent and DJs of today.
