The Stradbroke Local History Group was set up in 2001. The Group's first priority was to gather as much material as possible from the village's residents. Much of this material had been passed down from generation to generation. Additionally as part of the village's millennium celebrations funds were raised to restore a set of glass negatives which chronicled the turn of the previous century. The results of the millennium project combined with the materials collected from residents formed the basis of the Village Archive.

The archive today provides a wealth of information about Stradbroke's past.
This online archive is split into sections which cover former village residents, places, events, businesses as well as census and other record information.

The archive currently contains a number of photographs and extracts from records such as the Kelly's Directory of 1925.

The Local History Group is eager for any ideas of suggestions or additions to the archive.
