The Ludham Community Archive Group was formed early in 2002 as a Jubilee Year community project. Initially, the Group was set up to create a large scale textile map of the parish. Later the Group purchased computer equipment and began work on the archive to create a lasting record of the Broadland Village of Ludham.

The Group has now completed the map and has expanded into the creation of CDs, Videos, Books and Booklets about Ludham and has begun a new textile project. Monthly winter walks are also organised along with slide shows, exhibitions and fun events. We meet once every two weeks to discuss archive material and the history of Ludham. Guest speakers often enlighten us further.

Gathering new archive material about the village is an important part of our work. Everything is scanned and kept in digital form with all original items returned to their owners. The archive now has well over 10,000 photographs and 30 hours of video and is still growing fast.

We can be contacted at enquiries@ludhamarchive.org.uk
