Website of Botley and Curdridge Local History Group

The Botley and Curdridge Local History Society was formed in 1972 to encourage an interest in local history and to collect, record and preserve items of local interest. The Society meets monthly between September and April at the Reading Room, Curdridge, where speakers are invited to talk on local history topics. During the summer months, visits are made to places of historical interest. The Society's archives, which contain local artefacts, press cuttings, maps, letters, photographs and County Record Office transcriptions, are stored at the Reading Room. The website includes pages on the history of Botley and a detailed account of the Botley Riots in 1885.

The Botley and Curdridge Local History Society contributed to the Hampshire Photographic Project.
