This archive is part of Commanet: the community archive network .

Commanet is a registered charity that helps communities to set up and develop local archives using specially designed Commanet software.

Chislet is a sprawling rural parish in the northeast of the county of Kent between the city of Canterbury and the Isle of Thanet.

Chislet coalfield was the most northern in Kent, and closed in 1970.
