Birmingham Clarion Singers were established in 1940, and continue into the twenty-first century with songs and music from a long established workers' tradition. We have a wide repetoire, from folk to classical, from ballads to African choral works.

The group has a number of famous ex members, and holds an extensive archive of information on the choir, documenting the changing face of the area of the choir's membership base.

The Local Heritage Initiative funded a project to document and record the history and activities of the Clarion Singers.
