Area covered by West Northants Local History website

Contains two main types of data:

a) Village archives for the West Northants villages of Barby (still being added), Crick and Kilsby (both fully developed). Each village has a separate setion, including image archives, details of house history work, parish registers, wills transcripts and other resarch aids for that community.

b) A "Regional" section (requires registration to access) containing results of more advanced research projects, from Iron Age to the early modern period, all relating to the extreme west of Northamptonshire.

New information is regularly added: 

Soon to appear -- details of the Barby Hill (Iron Age) archaeological investigation;  analysis of late medieval infant mortality and the Great Rebuilding.

Recent additions -- the life of Sir William de Kildesby, d1346 (a significant addition to the basic ODNB entry);  transcription and analysis of Crick's medieval manorial court rolls.
