Alcester, a unique community at the Heart of England

Alcester and its district is a charming rural area, ranged around a small Tudor town centre at its heart; an area which regularly reveals its Roman origins, whenever there is modern development work taking place.

Alcester's community is friendly and charitable, keen to preserve its heritage through its ceremonial Court Leet, Roman Museum and Civic Society to name but a few.

Alcester Heritage Network adds one more string to that bow and exists to create, digitise and develop a broad and accessible community archive.  Our collection will encompass information gleaned from primary and secondary sources along with digital copies of records, images and objects that illustrate and span the history of our local community, from distant to more recent times.

We are a 100% voluntary group and actively seek new volunteers to join us in scanning, archiving and indexing our collections and creating our community albums.

We have a permanent exhibition space in the foyer of Alcester Town Council's Globe House and our FREE exhibitions there will change every two months or so.
