Historical Ballinrobe currently has over 5,000 historical and contemporary records in our Archive on Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo and its surrounding villages and townlands; with a cross section already uploaded including video and audio files.  Our motto is “Capture it before it disappears forever”. 

We work closely with local schools, groups and other organisations to try and increase an awareness of our local history. A very popular category on Ballinrobe’s website is the ‘Diaspora Category’ and a lot of information has come in to us through this portal.
