The Chaddesden Historical Group Archive is set up to preserve and record the history of Chaddesden, Derbyshire.  The group was established in 2006 but only created the archives after being awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £32,000 specificaly for that purpose. The details of our efforts are covered in the website along with the foundations of what, we hope, will grow into a useful point of referrence for anyone interested in the history of Chaddesden.  It became a suburb of Derby in 1968 after a rich and varied history as a village, starting well before it was recorded in the Doomsday Book.
