The British Library Preservation Advisory Centre and RLUK are delighted to announce two training days focusing on digitisation. 

Approaches to digitisation

London : Wednesday 9 February 2010

Are you planning a digitisation project?  Do you want to learn more about how to approach this?  This training day includes presentations on the benefits of digitising books and documents; planning for digitisation; how to select materials for digitisation; and preservation issues. 

Handling for Digitisation

York : 18 February 2011

Are you setting up a digitisation project?  Do you want to learn more about how to handle books and documents during digitisation?  This training day includes presentations on what to consider when sourcing equipment; preparing books for digitisation; handling during digitisation; outsourcing digitisation and dealing with digital images. 

Each course costs £95 + VAT including lunch and refreshments (£71 + VAT for members of Research Libraries UK)

All bookings received by 3pm on 22 December will be invoiced at the current VAT rate
