Park Street and Frogmore Society

The Park Street & Frogmore Society covers the villages of Park Street, Frogmore and Colney Street, near St Albans, Hertfordshire. Formed in 1995, we help to promote interest in local and natural history. Members are kept informed by regular Newsletters and Journals and posters and information advertising talks are displayed in various places and websites.

The Society has a growing archive within it’s own room at the Village Hall. The archive includes historical documents, objects,  books, records, images, maps and ephemera together with recorded memories of residents past and present. We endeavor to form working relationships with other groups and associations and promote the involvement of all ages in local history preservation. Help can be given to those researching local and family history and the Society encourages the sharing of memories, photos and items of local interest.

The Society organises open meetings for members and the general public, each of which includes a presentation from an invited speaker on a topic usually of a historical or nature interest. The meetings are held at Downs Hall, Park Street Village Hall, off the A5183, Park Street, St Albans, Herts. AL2 2PX. Start time is 7.45pm unless otherwise stated and admission is £1 per person for members and £2 per person for non members.
