Since then, the town has grown beyond its original boundaries, but retains its essential character as a garden city.

Our Welwyn Garden city has been developed by local volunteers in partnership with the local library. As well as collecting local memories, the site will¬† showcasing the house history research produced by the Heritage Lottery funded ‘Where do You Think you Live?’ project.
