Moments of Truth

A group of young adults (aged between 16 and 25 years old) interviewed their eldest living relative. The specific focus of the investigation explored ‘moments of truth’ – events, incidents or decisions which the interviewee believed had changed or determined their life.

Focus was on those moments which occurred when the old people interviewed were at the same age as the interviewers, i.e. between 16 and 25.

Sessions were run with the young adults, training them in a variety of multi media skills such as digital imaging, sound recording and editing, video production and creative writing.

The project culminated with a multi media exhibition of the material collected, held at the Buddle Arts Centre in December 2001.
